So I spent two weeks on the raod exploring some hidden jems in BC and a few rides in Alberta for good measure. Started the trip in Banff and road a few old favs before moving on to Rossland. I planned to ride the Seven Summits but it was snowing! From there we moved onto Christina Lake. Christina Lake is awesome and treated us to a couple of great trails. Deer point is worth checking out if you're ever in this neck of the woods. After a long drive we boarded a ferry to Vancouver Island to ride with Martin from Island Mountain Rides and checked out the trails around Cumberland. This is a hidden jem and having a guide along was great! Martin runs Island Mountain Rides and really knows his stuff so if you're in this area check him out. There is a great hostel in town called the Riding Fool, nice place 20 bucks a night. Martin suggested we check out Hornby Island which, (Come closer...) is one of the best places I have ever riden and well worth the ferry ride. Hornby has a fantasic trail network and they are pretty easy to find. You can pick up a map from the co-op or the local bike shop. But keep Horby Island's trail network top secret!

Hey Ashley, sounds like a great trip! We'll be heading to Hornby next year with our new Coastal BC trip. Should have details on the website by late fall (we're developing this trip with Martin)!
